DEM-AWE
DEM-AWE aims to operate a precommercial demonstrator of the Kite-powered Battery Energy Storage (K-BESS), a 30 kW AWE system combined with a 400 kWh battery. The system will be tested at County Mayo (IE). The K-BESS aims to replace diesel generators for offgrid applications, demonstrating a market-entry use case of AWE for regions, customers, suppliers, and society. The project will reduce the risks perceived by regulators, investors and national governments and accelerate the uptake of AWE.
